Here's how to get free 'life-changing' chicken in Birmingham this week

Slim Chickens will be offering Birmingham locals a first taste of its hand-breaded, buttermilk chicken tenders on Friday 14 June and Saturday 15 June from 11am, by giving away free samples on Central Street, outside the Bullring and near the Birmingham markets.

The restaurant chain, which has over 80 locations in the US, is set to open its fourth UK location in Grand Central on Tuesday 25 June, and is famed for its fresh, buttermilk marinated, hand-breaded chicken tenders, which have been described as ‘truly life changing’.

Richard Pigott, operations director for Slim Chickens UK, said: “The countdown to Slim Chickens’ Birmingham launch is on, so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to treat locals to a giveaway, to try our famous chicken for themselves.

“Everyone loves a freebie, and we can’t wait to welcome local foodies to give them a first taste of proper Southern USA hospitality in the city.”

There is one sample permitted per person and chicken lovers will need to be quick to get hold of one, as there is only a limited number up for grabs. Those who miss out on the sampling session can also download the ‘Slim Chickens UK’ app for a free taster when the restaurant opens.
