The newest and most exciting addition to the city’s food scene, Slim Chickens, in Grand Central, offered local foodies a first taste of Southern USA style hospitality when it opened its doors on Tuesday 25 June.
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Mohammed Azim, cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the brand new venue, as well as sampling the brand’s iconic fresh, buttermilk marinated, hand-breaded chicken tenders, which have been described as ‘truly life changing’.
In addition, guests can now enjoy a whopping selection of 13 dipping sauces to accompany their meal, from Korean BBQ and Garlic and Parmesan to Blue cheese and Mango Habanero, as well as handspun shakes and decadent jar desserts to satisfy their sweet tooth.
Richard Pigott, operations director for Slim Chickens UK, said: “We’ve had a great time celebrating the launch of our latest UK location, and it was a pleasure to welcome the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Mohammed Azim, to officially open the venue.
“The feedback on our food offering has been fantastic so far, and I know the team is looking forward to welcome new and returning visitors for a slice of southern America right here in Birmingham.”
To mark the opening of its Birmingham restaurant, Slim Chickens will also be offering free chicken tenders to anyone downloading the Slim Chickens UK app.
